High Life or High Line - Day 4
Breakfast
While I am sitting here in the sunny Boston I can't remember what we had for Breakfast but if I had to guess then I would say some cereals, fruit and pastry from the Deli on the corner.
High Line
We were having a late start and we were heading to the High Line. This former train track is build not on the street level but on pillars that run through the old industrial neighborhoods like the meatpacking district. Today it contains a really beautiful park landscape with quiet corners to lounge and relax in this wonderful green oasis. The friends of the high line are all setup with small shops selling artisanal crafts and post cards and drinks and ice cream too!

In contrast to the vastness of Central park this feels much more cosy and compact which is always welcome in this sprawling madness that is New York :)
New York Pizza
So far we did not have any New York style pizza at one of Ray's, Original Ray's, Famous Original Ray's, or any other kind of variation there-of. We went straight to Brooklyn to Juliana's pizza place. Right next to the legendary Grimaldi's Pizza place the wife (Juliana Patsy) reopened this place after they sold the other one. Fortunately that means we get a more or less authentic experience while the line was quite much shorter that at Grimaldi's.

The pizza was quite large, one does feed two people, and tasty but nothing world changing.
Brooklyn Bridge
The view however from Brooklyn past the famous Bridge to the South skyline of Manhattan was quite amazing and definitely worth coming over.

With a belly full with pizza and lemonade we walked back to Manhattan over the bridge which is a windy and cool experience even in the midday sun.
Fun fact about Lemonade in the US, it does not contain any bubbles much like most of the drinks except fountain drinks. The only place that offered me sparkling water so far was an Italian restaurant in Little Italy (imported!) and the Steak house.
After being back in Manhattan we took the subway back to Korea town to get some snacks and check out Macy's. Then we went back to hotel and got ready to see some NY cats :)
Cats
After all this time a new vision of the Cats musical is back in Town and judging from the huge line and fully sold out house people are eager to watch it. Not everyone can get tickets to Hamilton and so has to look for an alternative.
The Neil Simon theater is located just one street away from our Hotel but it is a rather small theater both in terms of number of seats and leg space. The good thing is that even from the middle of the Mezzanine where we were sitting we had a good look at the stage. I appreciate the performance but I have to admit that musicals are not my cup of tea.
