Tenerife - Day 2 - Watersports

Half past 10 in Tenerife, Costa Adeje, Playa de Las Americas; Our bellies full of a delicious breaksfast buffet we walked to the Siam park using the tickets we purchase the day before.

We did not opt to buy the well advertised twin tickets for the Loro park in the north and the Siam water park close by in the South. First the Loro park is basically just a Zoo with animal shows that we don't feel to strongly about to support and second we liked to explore more of the truly local hightlights.

The Siam tickets cost the same everywhere and we were warned that some excursions offer free Siam tickets which is supposedly just a rip-off.

In contrast to the afore-mentioned loro park the Siam Park only has a Trio of Sea Lions in their entrance area, not to mention the all-present flock of doves bathing in every puddle and patrolling the crumble-leaden grounds.

Due to our tickets we bypassed the growing register to purchase tickets and entered directly. We made the slight mistake to walk around a bit to get a feeling for the park but neglected to change into our bathing clothes in the entrance area. Whie the park offers three lockers at strategically valuable areas there is only a single change-room, again next to the first locker that you encounter. Also go and spent those 10€ on their shoes.

At first it might seem like the kind of rip-off that parks do to squeeze more money out of their clientely and surely that is the case but it might be worth it. For every game you have to leave your shoes/flip-flops or whatnot at the end, queue up, enjoy and then gather your footwear again. That might not sound like a big deal but those lines can be long and hard on your well-soaked soft foot soles.

I think we went on most attractions and even those marked as red can not only be used safely if you follow the instructions but enjoyed by those that normally don't like too rough a game.
The power tower slide was the only one that my wife did not accompany me and even that one generated more anxiety but the overly-high line up the stairs of said tower.

Don't forget to check out the beach area, not only does it offer an ok-lunch opportunity but its pool has a giant wave-generator. Ask your friendly life- guard for the schedule.

I did forget earlier about the shark-tank that you slide through from the power slide.

Exhausted and happy we went back to the Hotel just in time for dinner.

After dinner we did take a walk on the beach, finding a woman who builds sandcastles in the sand.
